Poor old Liam Neeson looked a little less than amused this week, when we drenched him in water and dirt and made him run around in a sewer pipe..
The Taken star took it in his stride, a true professional through and through and filmed a fantastic new action sequence for the third part of the Taken movie franchise.
Neeson took time out to chat with his dear friend and stunt double, whom he’s worked with for many years on many movies, including the previous Taken movies. Whilst Neeson does not do his own stunts, he does film his own fight scenes, which he doesn’t considered to be stunts anyway.
Both Liam and his stunt double were looking rather dull in their grey jumper / jean combos, and the fact they were both covered head to toe in dirt following a scene which finds Brian Mills (Neeson) waking up somehwhat confused in a sewer pipe.
Liam had looked decidedly unimpressed when he was sprayed with water, but these are the sacrifices a Hollywood star must make…
Liam was then caught running around the sewer basin, for what is sure to be a gripping scene in the new movie.
The latest Taken film, unlike the first two, does not centralize around any of it’s characters being Taken. Liam only agreed to the $20 million role under the pretense that neither, he nor his family nor his dog be taken.
The plot is vastly different from the original film, and takes Brian to somewhat new territory.
Speaking on the Johnathan Ross Show – Liam Neeson said – “They called me up and I said, “I’ll do it… but only as long as nobody gets Taken.”
Liam also told fans that the new film will have a really really good story!
That’s certainly good enough for us 🙂
